Castalides Réserve comes from the location Mas de Couy, an old vineyard that is surrounded by protecting garrique hedges. In the spring, the blooming gorse casts its bright yellow reflections on the vineyard, and herbs like wild thyme and rosemary fill the air with spicy scents. It is a cuvee from Grenache and Mourvèdre; the wine is spicy and full-bodied, velvety and impressive. It has a beautiful finish with warm notes of blackberry.
We are particularly delighted that the 2012 vintage was awarded 89 points by Robert Parker.
